I'm in need of a tail tidy for 2017 Tard that will fit with the standard panniers installed.
I ordered an R & G one but it'll only fit without the panniers, it could be modified but then the standard turn signals will still interfere with panniers.
Anyone out there found one that works both with panniers on and off?
This is what highlights my problem though, the bracket that's used to install the panniers uses the 4 holes on the underside, i'm looking for something that uses the outer 2 holes of the standard tail only otherwise it will not work.
ps - where's your turn signals or you have intergrated tail light?
I got the Competition Werkes and absolutely love the look. Super tidy! However, I don't know if it fits with your panniers. I don't see why it wouldn't though as it is tiny. Actually on that note, some people may see it as too tiny as my buddy said it wasn't obvious to him when I turned out my signal if he wasn't paying attention
P.S. I notice you call it tail tidy, in the US (at least in Chicago) we call it a fender eliminator. Perhaps if you try to search it with that term it will broaden your search a bit and you'll see a few more options.
If you care or not, check the local laws about tidy tails, integrated tail light assemblies, fender eliminators or reflector deletes. The police around Vancouver Island are pulling over tones of bikes right now and issuing fix it tickets or VI's (vehicle inspections) for people that have either one completed.
I personally like the tail section on the hyper vs Japanese bike variants after I added a set of DP LED rear turn signals. The LED's helped to slim down the assembly to make it not so pronounced. Plus, it helps to keep a little bit of water off my back if I get caught in the rain.
