Used Hyper Pricing | Need Opinions
I am going to look at a used '08 Hyper S with Termi slips. 1100 miles and in perfect condition. Asking is $12.500 but that is on the high-side since I have seen a few Hyper S's with Termi's and same mileage go for $10.500.
I am prepared to go to $11K and I was hoping folks could share what they paid for used their used 08 Hyper S so I can get an idea.
Bottom line here is that a new one will cost 15K plus tax so I just want to get a sense of what used models are valued at.
Thanks in advance...

I just bought a few months ago, so I would expect 11K to be a good deal, and under 10K to be a steal. This is dependent on the geography, with the two coasts and urban regions getting better prices (potential buyers are greater in number, although sometimes offset by more stock). You did not fill out your profile, so I do not know where you are...
Lastly, as it is with cars...mods do not significantly change the value. They can even detract, if someone "ethnically altered" their ride, removed and lost original bits, etc. Mods are very subjective, like.... you might want crg standard levers on a bike with pazzo shorties, or I might want 2-2 slip-ons vs. your preference for full termis with a cat bypass (b/c I live in cali and I know the smog is a coming).
Happy shopping, it is almost as much fun as riding the thing...

if you are patient enough you should be able to find a deal.
I bought my 2nd hand hyper S with cams, slipper, full termi and 1 year warranty left for $10k less than a brand new S without the mods.
bargain!

Thanks for your replies guys.
v12gte - your statement about finding one being almost as much fun is very true. I've met some cool people and some nutcases but they all have my vote since they ride...

I bought mine for $10,300 from a guy in upstate New York. Stock 08 "S" model 1,400 miles 6 months left on warranty. If you buy a used one you can get the Ever Red extended warranty from a Ducati dealer. As long as you have some of the orginal warranty left.
