Clutch shaft nut torque
Say that fast 10 times....
Anyway, I've searched through here and in the service cd, but can't seem to find the specs on the main inner nut that goes on the main shaft in the clutch. That, or I simply don't know what it's officially called. At any rate, I've heard everything from 170ft lbs to 100ft lbs. It's the 20mm x 1. I can't even find anything with a spec higher than 100ft lbs in that torque section. Puzzling.
Anybody got the right figure?
Thanks!
B

That is what I was thinking as well. Just use common sense, if it is getting ridiculously hard, stop!

yeah, I'm trying to avoid that... I'm fine taking it off with an impact, just leary putting it back on.... I think I'm good at around 130 ft lbs with a torque wrench... and high strength loctite... we'll see come Sunday if it spins off on the track.
Thanks all,
B

I tightened mine to 170nm with a big ass torque wrench per the instructions that came with my slipper clutch.
