mine is plenty loud with a standard sized can. I can't imagine how loud that thing is. It looks like someone chopped it down, since no termi plaque is on that shorty.

drill out the rivets, chop pipe on a band saw, re-rivet. No biggie.

My termi's are in the shop being shortened by 50mm (2 inches) at the moment. I'm not doing for asthestics or noise, I had a stack at the track a few months ago and the pipes got bent and one of the cans scratched. I'm getting them shortened so that they're not as exposed and are less likely to get damaged.
If i had the 2-1 termi system it would of got proper fukked - like the rabbit. So i'm glad i went the 2-1-2 system.

Obviously I was diggin to find this but would you happen to have any pics of the shortened 2-1-2 on the bike? Was it a complicated mod?

not exactly that simple ... you need access to a pipe flanging press.
i took the one i did to a muffler shop and they flanged the cut portion on the perforated internal pipe to the correct size to fit over the end cap pipe.
other than that, it is pretty simple.
ciao,
johnc

love the look of the shorty pipe but my 2-1 is already loud enough.
cheers,
pip.

I'm working on this set up using an old Yoshi GSXR-1000 CF can I had kicking around the shop and a cut off OEM midpipe. Hope to have it finished this weekend if I can get to the muffler shop in Raleigh.

It's pretty loud with the dB killer removed. I may have to put it back in and do some trimming to adjust the sound level to the "right" level, whatever that is

Im shocked so many people go for the single side pipe look. Probably one of the big attractions for me was the dual undertail exhaust. Just not a big fan altho I guess I do like the SC Projects dual pipes but it seems overboard so Im not in love with it.
Has anybody else shortened the Termi 2-1-2 slip on and have some pics? I see that one in the FS section for $900 and it's got me chompin at the bit.
