State wants smog tests for motorcycles
I just heard on the news that a bill might be introduced to make it a law to smog motorcycles. They interviewed a guy from Bartels HD. I knew that might happen so I bought a stock exhaust for my HMT that came with Termis when I bought it. The owner did not have the stock set up anymore. Also, several months ago Brea Ducati told me they would not deal with changing out stock exhausts anymore because of the liability. This made me think the heat was already on and that's why I bought a stock set up just to keep if I needed it. The news item mentioned that the intent was to impliment the smog test by 2012.

with the recent CHANGE they will be after anything to do with noise, pollution, and messing up the landscape. there are those that would make all undeveloped areas foot traffic only (for us off road guys). and when they find the time they will go after our guns next. we will all be driving little electric boxes that run along wires under the asphalt.

I wouldn't worry much about it. By 2012 the business environment in this State will be so bad everybody will leave 'sept the politicians.

as the politicos are money sucking twats, they will be at the front of the line of folks leaving ... when the tax base leaves, so do their salaries.
