Suspension Tuning

Anybody know these guys.

http://computra.startlogic.com/Contact%20Info.htm

I talked to them a few minutes ago and I'm most likely going to take a ride to their CT. shop later this month. It's time to have a pro evaluate and setup my suspension.

I don't know if my Ohlins spring is right for my weight and style of riding and as the guy said the forks can,t be revalved, just replaced.

After their initial setup I'll make decisions about how much money I want to spend chasing the illusive prefect setup.

Tom

Yes, I know both Peter Kates and Mike Martire.

They do have a working knowledge of the Hyper as one of the owners of the company had one on which they did extensive suspension work.

PM me.

Charlie

I work part time for the Local Ducati shop.
I have seen a lot of guys changing their suspension set up.
After a few weeks of trying deferent set up, they will always end up going back to the original set up.

Suspension change have to be made in small increment and record.
Then you should try to ride the same route to see if you can feel the difference.

Just my two cent.

Thanks, I do keep a record of the settings and changes. I'm mostly interested in confirming that the spring on the shock is the correct one for me before I try experimenting with setting changes.

The forks need a different cartidge, a few available, ie. racetech and mx-tech.
Getting the proper spring and the right oil/height/ front sag is a big change w/o replacing the cartridge.
Also make sure the torque values are correct on the t-clamps, mine were overtightened from the factory.
Good luck.
I use Tony Foales chassis software to keep track of my suspension/chassis adjustments, FWIW.
