slow starting - Ducati.ms

Anyone else have their bike take more and more cranks to get it started? its getting colder now (12c! haha) and its taking a lot to turn it over and get it started. I don't like the way the starter motor keeps on cranking till it goes with a big bang of unburnt fuel. bike just had 12000k service and its still doing it. fine once its been run tho.

any ideas?

mine still starts fine during these cold(er) sydney mornings but she sure takes awhile to warm up, thinking of taping off some of the oil cooler...

i have had a new starter motor fitted (warranty) about 900kms ago though as the old one seized

I saw someone riding 2 up through Berowa yesterday too, I gave em a wave (I was on the black hyper).

Pete, long time no speak. I would ask whoever serviced it if they re-sync'd the throttle bodies and reset the TPS. Is the idle still consistent, does it idle high or stall on idle when cold?

was so excited lol

yeah mate, you don't return my calls no more and your missus has stopped calling too.

I'll get the TPS done and check the idle, it does idle low at 125-1300 and revs up to 1400 when i click it into first. I'll have to pop over and see Jonathon to use the unit.
