Speedometer accuracy
I have a commute that crosses a couple of speed cams and the ever mobile van speed cam.
Last night I was riding into work and I was running along at 80 mph on the freeway and cars were blowing by me.
I connected my GPS to the Hyper and noticed 80 mph indicated was 74mph on the GPS.....40 mph indicated was 36 on the GPS.
Anyone else have comparable numbers?

My GPS Zumo 550 shows about 6-7klms an hour slower than the Hyper. Also the GPS when in the car has the same difference.

Owner's Manual page 18:
"SPEED INDICATOR"
Speed indication is obtained from actual speed information(in km/hr) from the ECU increased by 8%.

The way I figure it, 100 mph indicated -8 mph, 50 mph -4 mph, 25 mph -2 mph. The computer doesn't use a magnetic eddy flux like the old cable driven stuff so it should be constant over its range.

Darn, one bike reads slow one reads fast. Hope I can remember which is which in the clutch.

Then, there is the Ducati error issue - programmable out
My 2008S began life with a massive error in odometer & speedo. There are threads that discuss this, but if the error is big, I mean like indicated 60 = 53mph, the dealer can heal it with the shop computer.
On mine, after the warranty fix, it reads 60mph for a GPS 57, 80mph = 76 or so.
