Triple Clamp Removal - Ducati.ms

I've searched, but cannot find any info. Are there any special tools needed to remove the triple clamps? I want to get them powder coated. Thanks!

Yes, you will need a steering stem nut tool http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ducat...QQcmdZViewItem

Also, a bike lift/stand or some sort of hoist to support the bike while the forks are off.

Thanks! I have a front lift. Was just wondering about the top stem nut in particular. Thanks for the link.

you dont have to remove that to take the upper tripple off. Take out the 3 pinch bolts, then put a little wd40 around the fork tubes, then uses a small mallet to tap the tripple upward.

Thanks, but I shoulda mentioned that I want to take the bottom clamp off also. I'm gonna powder coat both the top and bottom clamps.
