So the Hyper really wanted to tag along to Grand Junction for the 2nd round of the Supermoto5280 Series here in Colorado this last weekend, who was I to deny her of the opportunity!!
I race an Aprilia SXV450 and thought it would be fun to enter the Hyper in the Sportsman's class which is a combination of DRZ400's, KLX's and really any factory street legal Supermotos. To answer your question....yes, we do go through the dirt section as well.
Other then locking handlebars with a KLX and going down in the dirt, it was a fairly uneventful day taking the win in the both my Heat race and the Main. Not too bad for her maiden voyage!
These are definately not made to get any air what so ever, they'll jump but when you hit the ground you run out of suspension quick and it makes a very unsettleing noise to say the least!!
A quick highlight video one of the racers did that has a couple of shots of the Hyper...including me picking it up after the incident.

Only damage from the fall over was a bent front brake lever, rear brake lever and a broke up right fairing.
After the peices had been picked up.
