Dyno runs
what is everyone getting on the dyno and what mods they have?
I put a full Arrow, DP ecu and Beast-R intake. I dynoed the bike over the weekend and got 85hp and 71 torque to the wheel. I think that was low. My tech said with the cams that I will do at the 7500 mile service, I will get another 3-4 hp. Even 89 is not enough, I was thinking that I'll be around 94-96 hp with all that stuff done

Not bad, you whould be able to yank 3rd gear wheelies with that setup and have a little more snort coming out of the corner and doing roll ons.
A PC III would allow you to get a litte more HP out of that setup. With the Beast, you should be a little higher. I think Dukepilot posted his numbers with his Beast setup.
I had similar numbers without the Beast, but you can't really compare numbers dyno to dyno. If it runs strong your good to go.

PC = Power Commander and is made by DynoJet Research. The price is around $275 and for the most part, you need to have a local tuner dyno tune (another $225) it or you are not benefitting much from it. Sometimes you can buy a custom map, but it will never be perfect for your bike. It is an easy install with about 15-20 minutes of work to run wires and plug it in.
You may want to think about having the stock ECU reflashed by Desmoworks.
Out!

93.87hp and 77.96ft/lbs was the result after installing the Beast R along with LV exhaust and Rapidbike 3 module with DP cam kit ECU a little over a year ago. Since then I've tweaked my fuel maps (leaner) a little more to improve fuel mileage and performance. You really can't compare results from one dyno to another or even different runs on the same dyno on different days.
Installing the exhaust and intake is just the beginning. To get the most out of your mods, you need to do some tuning. First, make sure your DP ECU fuel trim is set to 3-5% CO and that your throttle bodies are in synch. Then get yourself a PC3, or Rapidbike 3. Find a good tuner that can create some good maps for you. The advantage of the PC3 is that there are more shops familiar with that unit. Another option although costly is the Nemesis ECU.
If you bike runs OK and you're happy as is, no problem. But if you want to squeeze a little more out of it, you need to take the extra tuning steps, especially with the DP cams you're going to install.

Dukepilot- See you have the Speedcell battery, I was considering one. How is she holding up? I so far only did hear good things about it, can you confirm?
Greek- DP ECU is not setup for the Beast R intake, you need a different map for it to get it's full effect. I would suggest the PC and then have a shop that is very experienced with it make you a custom map for your application and I bet you that you will see low 90's and the bike will run much smoother.

So far so good with the Speed Cell. 240 amps, 1.7 lbs. We'll see about long term reliability since I just got it a short while back.

Shift-Tech.
Thanks for your response. I thought the DP ecu would work with the Beast-R cause the termis come with the open airbox kit if I'm not mistaken. Anyhow, I guess I'm gonna try to look for a map or just drop the baby off at Sebastian's at Melillimoto and have him play with it. I hear he's one of the best.

Every dyno is different. My local shop uses a Superflow, and these typically read 10% less than a Dynojet.
My stock Hyper on this particualar Superflow dyno makes 73 HP and 61 TQ
I now have DP cams, termi 2-1-2, beast R intake, with custom map for my
PC3 and now my bike makes:
88 HP and 70 ft lbs of torque on this same dyno
This is to the rear wheel.
Hope this helps
