Clutch slave install HELP!!!

So today I spent a while doing some upgrades to the Hyper. Now I'm working on installing my new Oberon Clutch Slave. I am having a LOT of trouble getting the system bled though. I've got a long clear tube going into a bottle, and I don't see any more air bubbles while pumping the lever. I'm curious though, I have this extra little thing that came with the slave. In the pic below, it's the hollow dowel with the 2 o-rings on it. It's the smallest thing in the pic. What is that thing? Is it a spacer? Maybe I've already bled the system as much as possible, and it just isn't reaching the rod? I just can't figure this thing out. If you have any insight, please guide me!

Don't know what that piece is but to completely bleed the system you might want to take the pressure plate off and open your bleeder or banjo bolt on the slave and then push on the rod towards the slave until it won't go anymore. You should see alot of bubbles. Then tighten or close the banjo bolt and make sure you have enough oil in your reservoir and then put your pressure plate back on and try pumping it until you feel pressure. That should do it.

I actually just figured it out. (Thank GOD!) I apparently had some air in the MC, so a quick bleed up there quickly solved the problem. I wish I had thought about that before running half a bottle of fluid through the system. Oh well, now I know what to do with the brake system when I swap that reservoir too. Thanks for the help though.

Always bleed the piss out of both ends of the system - master and slave cylinders.

(I don't think there's any way to type the above without sounding like I'm into the S&M thing)

So what was the dowel for? I have a similar piece in my kit, but I do not see where it would go?

I believe it's for older models. Not needed for the hyper.

That's a clutch pushrod extension for older models (I can't remember which years though)
