Did A Riding Training And Track Day WOH HOH
...and what a blast!
Tardis pegs ground back, brake lever ground back and side stand ground back, header pipe got some scuffs and Scorpion Syncs look like they have been in a pub scrap , both right and left boots ground off along the length of the outer edge.
Fuck me we had huge fun, cops at the gate watching, so out of the pit lane onto the track and 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear wheelie about 400 metres long past the Feds knowing they can only watch, fucken saweet!
Learned a heap, did emergency braking, front brake only, rear braking only, then followed the race instructor and NOT allowed to use any brakes, bit daunting at first then game on, much quicker corner speed.
Scorpions not ideal for the track, when they heated up they got a bit slidey which was great fun but cost time.
On looking at my tread during the day I had set up my suspension very nicely which was a big boost, instructor gave the big thumbs up which was well cool.
Can't wait to do it again but will put some stickies on next time.
Highlight of the day, Wheelie past the Feds and leaving darkies all over the track.
Poo (almost) moment was rear braking only into a left hand hairpin with too much speed, step aside Ruben Xaus .. I will race him to the toilet to empty my nappies ... boys said it looked cool and that is all the matters!!

Very cool Monsta... only place to really push and learn is on the track... not having to think about cars, police or shear cliffs.

Yeap without a hesitation, for 99.9% of my riding which is road work they are brilliant, we have abrasive road chip, cold road and or wet roads and some shingle so they are perfect for that.
When they get hot from punting it hard they do get a bit greasy but controllably greasy, they do not step, grab and flick they just widen your arch a bit.
With there much more rounded profile they allow great flickability in the tighter stuff, more so than a pilot power.
Scorpions are much harder to swipe the chicken strips off with there profile tho, only an issue if you worry about that which I don't as I was going around those who gave me a hard time which shut them up.
An all round tyre for this bike they get thw big thumbs up from me!
