Impact Gel
I was watching that new show on Discovery Channel "Pitchmen", and saw a product called Impact Gel. It was originally designed for shoe insoles, but after watching a van roll over the guys hand inside a folded piece of the gel, and come out fine, I started thinking about using it as a mc seat pad. Looks like they beat me to the idea though since they have mc seat pads for sale on their website. So I'm wondering if any of you folks have tried this stuff, and if so, what your thoughts were. Here's a link to their site. Sorry for the obnoxious Billy Maze infomercial.

Why would you use it instead of a regular gel seat? You planning on running over your seat?

He has a 6000 pound ass and doesn't want to injure the trellis frame.

Yeah you definitely need to park it in the shade or cover the seat when parked in the sun.

Do you have this gel seat? Did you refinish your stock seat with it? Does it just sit over the top?

Yeah, this is my only complaint. In Arizona, that is a real problem. I don't typically leave my bike sitting around, so it hasn't been to big of a problem, but when I do I try to find shade or cover the seat when I leave it set.
Out!

Never mind the seat
how about uses for the helmet and body pads?
Looks like something to investigate more.
