I am looking to buy an enclosed trailer for hauling the bikes. If you have any input as in to which brand, size, etc. I would really appreciate it. Any experience you've had would be great (good or bad).
It all depends what you want to do. If you are going to the track and have a couple of bikes and possibly bring a friend then you want to get a pretty good size trailer. I had an enclosed trailer and did just that. I chose a pace american 8x16 and trust me it wasn't too big. Now if you are alone with one bike then a smaller trailer will suffice. Again I don't think you have to have a top of the line trailer like wells cargo. My 8x16 cost me 6000$ and then added shelves and cabinets and wheel chocks. When you buy wheel chocks make sure you look at the flush with the floor style. If you want ideas let me know and I will send some pics. Setting up a trailer is not as simple as one would think. You really have to pit thought into it. You also might want to look at some used stuff. With this economy, some people will be giving them away. Hope this helps.
My last trailer which I was very happy with was a Pace Legacy 7x12, single axle and electric brakes. I could easily fit two race bikes and gear for the weekend. The exterior height is 6' 9" so it will fit in a standard garage and isn’t much taller than a truck which helps with fuel mpg. The downside the interior height is 5'4" so there will be some head banging.
I got a Diamond cargo (direct from factory on NC) 8x12 ready to go(Tamdem with electric breaks, diamond plate floors, E tracks, inside walls and isulated) for 5K, then I made a little project with it, add AC power lights, A/C and outlet on the walls
