Programming a new black key ? - Ducati.ms

How do I program it ????? I dropped my only key in a puddle of water and thankfully it still worked

. So to be on the safe side I had a new key made. I know Ducati did away with the red key mumbo jumbo so how do I programm it. I searched but all I could get was the red key version and some stupid countdown that never comes. At least I know the immobolizer works, so God forbid that the dude who steals your key and makes a clever clone forgets to program it.

I believe that you must go to your dealer and they have to order it from the factory. Do you still have your key code card that came with the Hyper?

I did get it from the dealer/stealer and they cut and who knows what with it. So when I put it in, it did turn but the orange light of death came on. I put my old key in and it worked. I got a demo bike and it came with one key, but I do have the key card. thank u chicago cycle.

Time for a refund. Did they ask for the key card when they made the copy?

They dont do refunds on cut keys, so I fucked around and did the hold B down and start and I got a weird menu, a PROGMM screen came on and had the immobilzer code entry screen. I put in the code and when I started it up again a count down started. So now it keeps showing up and then says ERROR 37.0. I put my code in and it worked, I put the new key and the code and it worked. But now everytime I start I have to enter the code. well, someone had to do it eventually

. Pain in the ass but pretty cool in case I get bikejacked! so any I deas how to set it back to normal. whats the LED/LAMP display all about? so also I cant get back into those menus. thanks

Just got back from a ride, still I get the count down when I put in the key and turn. then I put in the code = Vroomm. and noticed my red immobilzer light doesnt flash anymore when it lays around, hmmm.

Well I had some time today and took my bike and keys to see what the hell was going on, and to my relief it wasnt my fault

wat had happen waz that the replacement key I had was the wrong one, yes the're same looking but different part no. keys! FYI. so when I put the new key the first time and tried to program it, the immobilizer went into panic mode and basically locked out my original key.The tech called Ducati and after 4 hours they said if you had the right key because even the tech could not get into the immobizer, the system was trying to finish its original programming and waiting on a good key, hence the countdown all the time. a look at my reciept showed the wrong key. they looked the same. 10 mins later I had 2 working keys. I bought two more keys as spares, immobilizer system will only hold two keys in memory though.
