Just wanted to brag alittle
On my hyper. So far mods include custom painted fairing with modest Italian flag graphics on side panels and nose. painted subframe, Ducati Red! Powder coated rearsets, upper tripple, bar clamps. Gutted cat and cored stock cans. Entire system powdercoated with hot coat matte black. notice the tabs were removed for the exhaust covers. It looks really good with the red sub frame. Home made tity tail. Evo pro taper bars (henry reed bend).999 reserviors, and pazzo levers. Evr clutch slave. Hooligan alternator cover. Nichols flywheel. PC3 power commander, and fatduc O2 manipulator. I also just installed the CA Cyclewerks tank with the pod filters. Plus a some carbon extras (sprocket covers front and rear) , Dp comfort seat, and Dp peg sliders.
Took it out for a ride today and I love this bike! Tons of tq of the bottom make it just plain fun!
Sorry if the pic arent the best cell phone pics....ya know

It looks clean with what you did for the exhaust and red subframe with covers removed...though I can't say for sure because your pictures are...well...you said so yourself...

I like the subframe in red and the exhaust black.
Did you paint the bolts for the rearsets too? If so, how did you get them back on without tearing up the paint?
Out!

Those bolts are powdercoated. I still used my kitten mittens putting them back in though. A shop towel in a socket works pretty well.

was it hard to match the color of the frame? I have tried localy and none of the locals can match the colir, either to dark or too light. Yours looks spot on.

kingsnake1650, that looks sharp mate, the red sub look brilliant!
And you can run the footpeg slider blocks with the rubber, sweet to know that as I will do the same.

The paint used was RM brand paint. Code C2S varient SR105.5 I belive they call it Ducati red. According to the guy that did the work for me the trick is getting the right varient. I would think any painter worth his salt could get close enough that the untrained eye couldnt tell the differance
