Exclamation How About a Complete STM Slipper Clutch for $885?

~

Hey, I am not affiliated with these folks at all. I just got an e-mail from Motostrano pointing me to this sale...

http://www.twowheelsteals.com/STM-Du...&category=-108

Quote:
STM Ducati EVO Slipper Clutch

STM DUCATI EVOLUZIONE SLIPPER CLUTCH KIT: 45 RAMP ANGLE, 48 TOOTH BASKET (003MG048/45)

Reg: $1600

Price: $885

Looks like a pretty good deal to me...

Just FYI.

Does this work for the Hyper as well as other Ducs?

I know it worked on my 999. Bought one about a year ago. Expensive clutch plates though ($350). I don't think they're included with the clutch itself.

I got one o'them... works pretty good. Doesn't seem like the clutch plates are included, if it is, then that is a deal.

The going rate for the clutch w/o plates is about 1000-1100, that 1600 RRP is bunk.

That is a GOOD deal for that clutch, but the reason I decided to go with the DP clutch was the replacement cost of the plates, the 48t clutch packs are EXPENSIVE! $300 to $350, and I can get Barnett replacement clutch packs for my 12t clutch for about $160 Aloha Alex

I saw that but decided to go with the DP street clutch instead for the same reason (plates).
Twowheelsdeal is motostrano's liquidation outlet if I recall correctly.

My mechanic recommended I did NOT buy that design. I got a standard STM slipper off ebay for $480 NIB. the hyper basket is aluminum and stock plates work fine. Works great.
