I have lost my way, but plan to repent
I have been off this board for a while and have been deeply involved in chainsaws and wood cutting of all things. I have spent over $2400 on chainsaws over the last two months when I could have spent that $ on my Hyper. I almost bough a new tractor last week, again money that could be spent on my bike or a new bike for that matter. I have been working on my TT track but my tractor source has denied me so it is really unfinished. I have not ridden my Hyper since February; I have sinned against her and ask her forgiveness.
Though I do have about 8 cords of oak and eucalyptus firewood.

You are definitely welcome to come out and ride when it is done. I have the layout down to where I think it should be. I might have to go at it with a shovel for now, but the field was plowed a few years ago and it is a bit rough and grassy. I wanted to get it done while it is still raining but, that looks like that won't happen.

I don't have a tractor but I would be glad to come down someday to help out with manual labor to get the track ready. Maybe dragging the track with some chain link fencing and some old tires/logs for added weight might help. Or, we cold just rent a bobcat for a half day to get it done.

ciao lelen -
if anyone is stupid enough to make a disparaging comment to or about someone who just bought a bunch of chainsaws ... they deserve to loose an appendage or three.
good to have you back amico.
a presto,
johnc

Peter I may have to take you up on that offer when I get to come home. I am in Calgary/Edmonton this week home this weekend and back to Canada on Tuesday if the border services let me back in and then on to Hazelton PA until the end of the month.
I am trying to beat the 2010 EPA ban on current chainsaws. I bought a few Stihls a and a Dolmar. I have a soft spot for dirty German chainsaws, but no hot saw...yet. 50cc, 61cc, 64cc, 70cc, and 85cc.

OK, let me know when you're ready. Personally, I like Husqvarna, but I've got no trees to cut. I've met some loggers up on the North Coast. Most of them are missing one or more appendages. Be careful with those things!
