Sliders and Rear mudguard options
Would someone please give me an idea what the different options are for sliders and rear mudguards for a Hyper.
I'm assuming that even while keeping the rear tail unchanged from stock, crap still gets into the rear shock. Is that right ?

A lot of people here have the Motovation frame and axle sliders as well as the Shift-tech rear hugger. Cant go wrong with either. I have these on mine and love them. Lots of pictures in the pic thread.

Motovation sliders are suhweet! Their barend sliders are rock solid tight and their frame sliders mount flush with the frame:

And this is the basic 'hugger' from Ducati. Quality sucks, not nearly as good as Shift Tech or some of the other vendors here. Desmoworks has some good stuff too. Ducati's was the only one that didn't include the integrated chainguard. I already had Rizoma's.
And yes; crap will get on your shock, obviously depending on what you ride through. I took my off for 2 days; had a bunch of crap, dried dirt and water spots on my spring. Multiply that by weeks & months; you COULD accumulate some undesirables on the shock...
And 'welcome' BTW

I also like the shiftech hugger. But I prefer T-Rex sliders. You can find them on ebay. They are great people to work with and they make quality parts for a competitive price. I also have a rear single-sided stand made by them. They produced a set of rear axle sliders that can be used as spools for my bike based on my measurements for free. I thought they were going to produce them, but I havn't seen them yet.

Not sure. I yanked my handguard/mirror setup.
As I remember; I don't think anything would help with the stock setup should you 'go sideways'...you'll still bust your mirror and possibly the handguard as it would stick out past what normal barend sliders would cover.
I think a custom barend spaced out further would help; just don't expect to fold the mirrors in.

The Shift Tech rear hugger is the way to go. I called Shift Tech last week to make sure I was ordering it the right way. I spoke to the owner of the company on the phone who is a member here and he was a good person to talk to. He told me everything was in stock and that it would be out the next morning. I got the hugger on Friday along with the 10% forum member discount, free shipping and a free T-shirt. That hugger fit perfect on the bike and the carbon looks wild. I will order from them again. It really did line up perfect with the holes in the swingarm.

Shift-tech hugger is nice, I recommend adding the rear chain guard too.
I personally think the R&G sliders look the best as they are shaped with a little more style.
Out!

Axle sliders $80.00 for both front and rear.---- fastbikesusa.com --- Great feature is that they are hand tight so they are easy on and off. Makes it easy to remove and put my T-rex stand on.
Frame slider from --- www.t-rex-racing.com --- $79.95
They also sell a great swingarm stand for $99.95 I highly recommend, look at all the features with this stand. I couldn't be more pleased with the sliders and the stand.

I forgot -------- the best deal out there on a rear fender (hugger) is:
gutsyperformance.com
Hugger is on sale now for $109.00 (I paid $119 just a while ago) The piece is top quality. I am VERY happy with it.
