Question about Hyper guage...

Hey all, got a quick question for ya... and haven't bothered to look it up in the manual. I'm having a tough time adjusting to the linear digital tach on my hyper... It's small, there is no redline defined on it, so finding the optimum shift point is difficult... I can't really feel the sweet spot like I can on other bikes cause it pulls so damn hard straight into the limiter... does the red light come on as a shift point first, then into the rev limiter. Maybe I gotta just get used to it... I've hit the limiter twice pulling wheelies... and I've only been able to really get one clean shift into second so far. Thanks for any input/tips...

Firstly, don't use first for mono's, you'll flip it.
Secondly, it should lift easily enough in second, the wheelie will last a little longer especially if you are near balance point.
Thirdly, shifting into third without the clutch should be a breeze.
Fourthly, shifting into fourth while you are still on the back wheel is cool.
Fifthly, there is no fifthly. I'm too old for this shit, the speed increases quickly and I still can't steer without the front on the ground.

I know I could practice and learn these skills, but why?

GHEZZI... thanks for the wheelie tips. I think fourth will be a lofty goal... as I am getting on the years me self. Practiced pulling her up in second today, it takes a bit more coaxing... or a heavy yank with no clutch. I'm used to using the power band... close the throttle then whack it open technique. My bike is bone stock right now... save for gutted cans and cat... once I get the pipe, ecu and airbox done, I'm sure those second gear standies will be a breeze.
