"Looking for Gription" GoPro Test
It's been pointless to ride our mountain roads since late October. Thats when the maintainance crews resurfaced all the fun roads with salt sand and gravel. I had a rare day off last weekend. It was sunny and we had some rain during the week. I decided to see if things had improved. It would also be my first test of a Christmas present from my son. I proceeded with caution.
I mounted the GoPro as you see in the photo. You can invert the camera and tell it to record images upside down.
Heres the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6ZqNxPgMBk
Since that link seems not to work, try this one: http://www.vimeo.com/3906974

How much did that camera system set you back? It looks and sounds pretty good to me.

The Gopro Wide Angle cost less than $200.00. You will need 2 lithium AAA's and a 2 gig SD card in adition to the camera to get started.

Thanks guys. I think the youtube video quality is decent if you watch in HQ, but there is a great deal of degradation from the raw footage. It's at least twice as good prior to the upload. I had heard that Vimeo quality was better than youtube. I really don't buy that after trying both. That is if the viewer chooses the HQ option.
As to the sound; my intake and exhaust are stock. The vented Woodcraft clutch cover features pretty heavily, don't you think?
Others have noted in different posts that my photos are not visible. I don't see them today either. I've changed hosts and hopefully this one will be more stable.
Once more, in case anyone is interested, here is the camera mounted on my bike.

Any more pics of your bike? Did you powder coat your triples? What else? Oh, nice mounting spot. Seemed really stable during the vid. I have a Hero also, so I may have to copy your mounting location.

There isn't a whole lot of bling about my hyper. Pretty much just your garden variety standard.
I've added woodcraft rearsets and clutch cover, Pazzo levers and zero rise flat bars for ergos.
An adjustable rocker link rod to the rear suspension. The triples are powder coated
because it was convenient to do so when I installed tapered head bearings. A few supension tweeks
are the only other non stock things and you can't see those. Here is a pretty mundane shot anyhow.
My flopping tank bag strap made the nasty black mark on the header.
Be sure to post your gopro vids!

You may call it "garden variety" but you're probably just too used to seeing it. The Woodcraft parts look great and I think the powdercoated triples set it off nicely. When I get some vid, I'll be sure to post it.
