Hehehe...blacking out a Hyper is a good thing.
You'll find this thread right up your alley; same bike too:
Behold The Blackness

Heh, the "Grave Digger" Hyper. There's something kinda cool about that.

There will be a Hyper blackout if you drop the clutch on that crawler.
Yeah, I think Fresno has the bike to beat.
Out!

Definitely not as nice as some of the bikes I've seen here, but here's my contribution.
I just finished blacking out the forks, triples, bar clamp, rear shock and spring, and foot controls.

That's cool. So is that paint or powder coating or ?? I'm thinking of doing the
foot controls and aluminum footpeg mount thingies (that's a technical term).
I do actually like _some_ bling on a bike, like gold anodized rims for instance, but
on the Hyper, at least a red one, the gold wheels seem a little odd. But I was
looking at a black Triumph Daytona with gold wheels, and it looked pretty darn
choice.
Did anyone notice the new '09 standard Hypers have grey (instead of gold)
engine cases? "S" models are still using the gold side cases...

The triples, clamps, foot controls, and spring are powdercoated.
The forks, and rear shock body and reservoir are wrapped in flat black vinyl.
