The harness is designed for the unit to be mounted on the outside of the
battery with Velcro tape. Fits well there, though I added some high density
foam around the front area to keep any movement to a minumum. I also
had to "boost" the Velcro tape with Super Glue on the battery side, since it
was peeling off the very slick battery surface. Obviously, this means you
will need new Velcro every time you get a new battery. Despite these
issues, it is a very clean looking installation. Also allows direct access to
the PC III USB port at the top of the PC III istself without any trouble--
just remove the seat.

I am getting Chris K's new, larger tank (hopefully within 2 weeks).
The tank design moves the battery from its stock location.
That's kinda why I was wondering if anyone has it located in any other position.

I kept the usb cord attached to the PC on my R6 because it is burried inside my race tail. I have the other end covered in electrical tape. Then again, the bike doesn't see too much weather.

I asked Chris about this awhile back.... he said that the commander would still mount in the battery location just fine with the new tank. I cant wait for that tank!!!

Hi guys, sorry to hijack this thread but I have a question about what ECU you guys are using. I'm looking into using a cat eliminator and a gutted standard system, blocking off the left end can (use it as storage). With a power commander will I have to get the performance ECU or can I use the stock one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what will work with your stuff.
I (will) have:
708B ECU
Zard Full system
Pod filters that come with new tank
Possibly, Power Commander
Oh, and VDST to tweak what I can.
