How much appetite does the Speedymoto Flow have for pant legs?
I just bought a used 2008 S w/full Termi, DP race seat, and DP mirrors. Love the bike, but want an open clutch for the full Ducati sound. I've done a lot of searches on here to find which cover I want. I've pretty much decided on the Speedymoto Flow.
But, I've read that the open covers can eat pant legs. It seems that the Speedymoto 10 Spoke is especially hungry. Didn't see much of this with the Flow, even though it has a large center opening. Does anyone with the Flow have any trouble with their clutch chewin on pant legs? I always ride in boots, so shoe laces won't be a problem for me.
Also, those with the 10 Spoke, where do the pants get pulled in? Is it the same place for everyone or is it just random? Just wondering if it's more of a problem with the pants being pulled in from the side (of cover) vs the front.

+1 on being curious about this. Quite often, I have jeans over A-stars boots so the pant legs would be a possible factor.

I have the Carbon Fiber 1/2 open clutch cover...scares the crap out of me all the time. I'm so nervous about getting my pant legs caught in there. I wear boots most of the time also, but sometimes wear Doc Martins..just tuck the laces inside. I'm curious myself, keep thinking about putting the OEM one back on just so I'll quit being a lil' b**ch about it! I love the sound from the clutch also, but not sure it's worth me worrying about it all the time.

I have the Flow clutch cover as well as the Speedymoto timing belt covers which expose the belts. No problems as of yet when wearing jeans over riding boots. It takes getting used to and I also tend to glance down at my foot more often. Love the sound the clutch makes!!

I went with the Woodcraft cover specifically because of the proximity of your foot to the cover.
I'm still careful about what kind of pants I wear, and with my Sidi Dohas, I make sure I move the laces to the outside and cover them with the Velcro strip...

My clutch plate is flapping in the wind. I never wear anything but leather pants tucked into my Sidi Corsa Air boots or my Aerostsitch over them

My flip flops and shorts have never come close to getting into my open cover.

I never had an issue with mine because my cover isn't "that" open. I did get this one because I have heard of problems with pants getting eaten.
If you get something close to this one, you shouldn't have a problems.
What I "did" have problems with, was my pant leg getting cought on the clutch bleeder valve/nipple. Comming to a stop, and trying to plant my left foot down and couldn't due to a snag on the nipple. Falling over at a light because your already in your lean to plant your left foot down at dead stop is very embarrassing. The hell with the minor scratch or damage to the bike. My simple solution for that was a fuel hose slipped over the nipple and zip-tied to the frame...
My fix:

I have caught my pants leg so many times on the clutch nipple on Multi's and Hypers. Never fell though, but bent the nipple once before the pants ripped.
