Dyno Mod Progression
When I got my Hyper I decided to do some of the mods one at a time and do a Dyno run in between each one to see how each mod helped the performance. I have the stock ECU with the Flapper Motor tricked.
I don't have an electronic version of the Dyno Graph so I'll just post the numbers. Of course all Dyno's will vary with HP and Torque but I really wanted to see what each mod added. All runs were done on the same DynoJet Dyno.
Stock
Max HP 79.80
Max Torque 67.23
BMC Airfilter Added with Modified Airbox
Max HP 82.53
Max Torque 69.90
BMC Airfilter/Modified Airbox - LeoVince Mid-Pipe w/Silmoto Slip On - Fatduc O2 Manipulator
Max HP 86.29
Max Torque 71.63
I have a DucShop lightened Flywheel on the way so that will be the next run.

The lightened flywheel shouldn't make any difference in power...

Great post Bryan, did you drill the bottom of the airbox as well as the top?

I didn't drill the bottom out, just the top. But now that you've mentioned it I may have to take the hole saw out again!
I didn't think I'd see much of a power gain from the Flywheel, but will run it none the less.

Yes it would be interesting to measure that change if any, should be good for something giving more available air which they lack.
You won't get more power from the flywheel, you will just get a quicker response with the HP you have which in essence can make a big difference to the feel.

That sounds about right.
I didn't do a stock run, since some many others had and they are relatively similar. Here are my numbers once I started mods.
Zard Top Gun slip ons, DP lid, DNA Filter, DP ECU = 81.56 HP and 66.96 lb/ft TQ
+ full Zard header kit/cat eliminator = 83.45 HP and 70.09 lb/ft TQ
+ Power Commander III = 85.29 HP and 70.35 lb/ft TQ
Out!

Isn't that about right? The Dec. 2007 Cycle World test HM also dyno'd at
79.8 HP @ 6500 rpm. Peak torque was 69.2 ft.-lbs. @ 4900. Their test of
the Multistrada 1100 was a bit stronger, 83 HP, but the airbox is larger.

That is correct, stock was just a touch under 80hp. The bike had about 1600 miles on it or so when I did it.
You have to look at Dyno numbers with an open mind though. You can take the same bike to 5 different Dynos and get 5 different HP and Torque numbers, it's all in how they have them set up. I really wanted to see how each mod effected the HP.
I'd like to do the TPO Beast R intake as well, maybe I'll get to that sometime this summer.
