I haven't used it on my Ducs, but I used it successfully on my Yamaha. I needed a stator.

Cheers for that Charlie, I am not hugely electrically minded so any help to me is worth a lot.

I always thought that wires had smoke in them and when the plastic got a hole in the smoke came out so you knew you had a problem

.. apparently according to Doon they have some copper in there too

i got stopped after reading the first line on the PDF ... something to the effect of "this document assumes the reader has basic knowledge of electrical ..." right then and there, it excluded me, so i stopped reading.
