Anyone else stink after guuting cat?
I just installed a guuted cat and exhaust. I like the sound. After a 20 mile ride I really reek of exhaust fumes. I thought since these bikes run lean from the factory I wouldnt notice any fumes.
The bike is running great. I had a really bad stumble at low speeds and that is now almost gone. I thought it was going to get worse.
I want to instal a fatduc but Im not sure I need it anymore. What do you guys think?

I stink too. I installed a Leo Vince cat eliminator so I'm in the same situation.

I had fumes on my bike too, but it cured my stalling issue - good tradeoff. I do think a fat duc may help. My old s2r with the termi slip ons and ecu also had a lot of fumes.

Weekly showers are good. I didn't have any issues with stumbling on my, however I did purchase a fatduc, so I can do more fine tuning. I did open the air box and I am planning on an full exhaust. I just have to wait until winter is over so I can ride my bike. Did you cut you cat to core it?

I don't follow how gutting the CAT would resolve a lean mixture issue. Reducing airflow restriction at either end should exacerbate a lean mixture condition.
That said, my '05 999S with the OEM Termi race exhaust (CAT's deleted / DP ECU) runs quite rich at idle.

my g/f always complaines of fume issues. It sounds as if she has this exhaust stink that everyone is referring to. Perhaps she needs a her weekly shower. I will bring it up over dinner.
