96519308B ECU & full Zard system

Bike is in shop right now.
Full Zard topgun system fited, silencers & collectors, and 96519308B ECU.
Mechanic informs me a fault code will be shown.
He is not sure whether the bike will run ok with a fault indicated.
They are waiting on further info on whether this will be ok.
He is reluctant to turn on ignition till they know as the ECU will be coded to the bike.
What I am hoping to find out here is will this ECU exhaust combo with an indicated fault code run ok. I am not bothered about a fault showing as long as the bike runs ok and no damage will be caused.
Cheers
John

Are they talking about the fault code for the exhaust flapper valve?

Some of us just create limiters for the servo motor that fools the ECU into thinking there's still a flapper valve there. Others have said that on the newer Termi ECUs you can disable that flapper valve process that causes the code.

Also, the ECU isn't coded to that bike, it can be used on any Hypermotard. They will have to reset the TPS and adjust the fuel trim... Maybe you should try a different shop that knows what they're doing.

One of the most informative threads posted on ECU's:

ECU and exhaust combos revisited

This is also the reason I bought the 708B ECU.

All sorted and bike sounds absolutely fantastic.
Clocks are now in km as opposed to mph, shop will change this when they get new software.
Cant really test performance as is pouring wi rain today.
Need to go and clean all the road salt off now.
Cheers
