Gas cap lock removal???
I was wondering if anyone has removed the key lock from there gas cap? When it is taken apart it looks like it needs to be tapped out the bottom. I wanted to know if anyone else did this before I start hitting it with a nylon drift and a hammer.

C- What did you place in the cylinder once you removed the lock assembly?

Hey Charlie; what do you mean? I used the key to get it in and out if that's what you're thinking.

You dont need to remove the tumblers, just take the two little screws off the bottom and remove to square locking pins and put the cover back on. The cap is held on by two other tabs near the top of the cap above the seal , way easy!
I assume you are just trying to go keyless.

I thought you were removing the lock permanently.
