...that these bikes are so darn much fun??!!
Got my new (pre-owned) Hyper S a couple of days ago. I love it. It was in even better condition (perfect) than I'd expected when I bought it over the internet.
It's an '08, 1500 miles on it, with some nice mods including Termi slip-ons, DP slipper clutch, DP steering damper, DP race seat, and some nice carbon fiber bits including tank cover, hugger, sprocket cover, chain guards, and clutch cover.
Despite very cold weather and snow flurries, I had to ride it today. About 20 miles or so. What a completely fun bike! It sounds incredible, not too loud, not too quiet. Buttery shifting, awesome brakes, and the power is even better than I expected. The riding position is great, and it's just so fun and flickable.
It's going to be fantastic for what I was looking for, some fun street hooliganism and occasional trackdays. I'm really looking forward to making it even cooler with a bunch of mods I'm planning.
A few of the new bits have arrived already, with a few more on the way. The initial batch of mods for this winter will include:
- Termignoni Exhaust Manifold (to convert slip-ons to full system)
- Nichols LW Flywheel
- Style & Performance Rearsets
- Speedymoto Flow Clutch Cover
- Speedymoto Leggero Front Sprocket Cover
- Speedymoto Leggero Timing Belt Covers
- Pazzo Shorty Levers
- TPO Beast R Intake
- Rizoma Cable Cover
- EVR Clutch Slave Cylinder
That should be a nice start. I've got to quit reading other threads on here describing some of the other cool things being done with these bikes. I've spent enough for now!
