DP cam ECU question

I have decided to go with the Quat-D 2 into 1 exhaust. If I buy the DP cam kit does the ECU work for this?

Here is the description on the the CAm/ECU from Pro Italia-

This is a set of racing camshafts with new profiles to optimize engine performance at medium-to-high rpm of your Ducati Hypermotard. The kit comes with an ECU that is calibrated for use with these camshafts and with the addition of a separate item, the complete racing exhaust system.

What is the separete item needed to calibrate for the full exhaust or are they stating that the full exhaust is separate?

seems that the separate item PI mentions would be the DP full exhaust system (the termi 2-1), as that system is mentioned in the DP accessories book in the section on the DP cams/ECU kit.

you will need to take the bike to a dealer, or find someone local to you that has the VSDTS, so the TPS can be reset when you install the ECU.

on the cams install, as these are DP parts, if you have them installed to specifications by someone besides a ducati dealer, your warranty (at least here in california, where i know the specific law) will NOT be voided.

a presto,
johnc

Duc dealers may have special Ducati tools to do this, or may use Technoresearch equipment. If you wish you can purchase the Technoresearch VDST yourself to do your own final tweaking, etc. at home...

Thumbs up

Triple positive! a lot of us are using the cams ECU with an aftermarket exhaust

& airbox mod, it was the cheapest way to get a DP performance ECU, and you

have the option to put in the cams later if you want, and using the DP ECU &

cams will not void your warrantee, as long as the Ducati shop installs it. Aloha Alex
