with the stock slave on the bike remove the banjo bolt holding the line on. It will be pretty tight, atleast mine was. Have some rags handy to keep from getting brake fluid on everything.
Next remove the 3 bolt holding stock slave on, and remove it.
put sweet to EVR in its place an bolt it up. Dont tighten the 1st bolt completely untill the other 2 are snuff... in effort to not bind up the slave.
then open up your clutch fluid resivoir and bleed the clutch. I put mine on today it only took five bleeding cycles to get all the air out.
The way that I bleed my brake and clutches is... I get a piece of clear hose that will fit snug over the bleeder nipple. the hose needs to be atleat 6'' long or so. Run the over end into a bottle ( I use a coke can If you bend the tab up an weave the hose through it wont come out by accident) . the idea behind doing this is that when bleeding it keeps fluid on top od the bleed and is less likley to suck air back into the system.
Next squeeze the lever hold it and crack open the bleeder with an 8mm wrench. Continue to hold the lever and close the bleeder. Repeat untill no air bubbles are coming out of the bleeder. Also keep an eye on the fluid in your reservior.. if you run it dry you will suck air in at the master cylinder. If you fluid is old and dirty I would repeat the bleeding process untill clean fluid comes out the hose on the bleeder.
Using this system is clean and easy... brake fluid on paint is bad so the cleaner the better.

Following kingsnake's direction, I would bleed it a couple of times after riding it a while. I was able to get a little better feel after all the tiny bubbles condensed after a little use........not much but a little better.
Out!

My $.02 worth, having installed dozens of mpl slaves. Carefully remove the hydraulic line and put a sandwich baggy on it; don't use a rag or it will soak fluid out of the fitting. While you have the new slave off the bike, fill it with fluid. Use a small funnel or syringe. Get the air out of it by burping it, push the piston in with a rod slightly to get it completely full and work all the bubbles out. Top it off with fluid to the top of the threaded port. Then hook up the hydraulic hose, get it roughly oriented and tighten the banjo fairly snug. Install the slave on the bike and seat it by tightening the three mounting screws a bit each going around till its fully seated. Tweek the hose orientation slightly if needed and tighten the banjo fully. If you were careful removing the hose/banjo to avoid disturbing the fluid in the line, you probably won't need to bleed it, or at least, very little.
Shutting up now.

THANKS for the help. you guys are boss. I can't make the install party unfortunatly, because of my 6 hour old baby i don't think mama bear is going to let daddy bear go play with his toys this weekend.
BUT, i did recieve a large package today in the mail containing my freshly chromed subframe and exhaust tips. looks bitchin. i will post pics when installed and a strong referal for KERR'S PLATING in phoenix. Only 80 bucks and i got 20 other quotes most near 400, some over 500! well worth the 20 bucks each way to ship. our first! and the only time i cried since i was 5 years old. here comes another two wheeler!

Yeah, I would be happy to help you. What you need to get is a set of Rizoma reservoirs from PJs Parts. They look totally awesome and we can do all the bleeding at once.
I probably won't have a house and my tools until late May when I get my family moved. That might the earliest as I am running all over trying to get some work up and running.
Out!

congrats on the new offspring sick50ford ...
i finished the first phase of installing the evr slave cylinder, installed it and bled from the slave bleeder ... tomorrow am i will bleed the master cylinder, as there is still some air in the line.
the reason i need to do the two step bleed, is that i flushed/bled the system dry, as i wanted to replace the fluid with new dot 4.
also, for those who bought the evr slave, there are no instructions with the unit ... not even the usual crappy italian instructions with the really bad photos that you can barely understand because they have been photocopied a bazillion times. anyway, the evr unit has a spacer that is included ... you do not need to use this, as the spacer is only for older model ducs that have a shorter clutch activation rod.
other than the bleeding issue, the unit seems pretty darn cool ... much better design than the stock slave, the finish is really nice, and even with the air in the line still, the pull is WAY better than the stock slave.
a presto,
johnc

Sick, congrats on your new baby. Without a doubt, the best day of my life was 6.5 years ago when I got a pair of them laying side by side in that same cap! Now I got them out in the dunes riding with me, hitting baseballs, catching footballs, playing bb, and on a soccer team. Besides the riding time you will lose...........it only gets better from here.
Do you know if those guys to black chrome? I think that would look great on the pipes, endcaps, forks, and subframe.
Out!
