Check the Nuts and Bolts
So I give my Hyper a quick once over every now and then, but......
Broc noticed my horn hanging from the wires at the end of the track day last weekend. The left bolt that holds the voltage regulator and the horn was gone! The right side bolt had backed out about 1/4"!! There was red locktite on them but.......
So just a heads up to check these bolts in particular, but occasionally check em all!
Cheers

That's why every time I work on my bike I use Loctite threadlocker during reassembly.

Agree, but I would use the blue thread lockers unless you want to be strippin the heads 'er threads.

I had the exact same thing happen when I had my bike on the dyno in December. At first, I couldn't figure out where the bolt came from then I rode it and found the horn hanging. My bolt had about 3 oz of red loctite on it and I can't for the life of me figure out how it could have come loose. The other side was just starting to loosen too.
So far, I have lost two bolts out of my handguards and that one. Haven't really found any others loose.
Out!
