tool kit
after reading the manual on this hyper it stated that there was a tool kit in behind the left hand faring. i was checking today and there is defiantly no tool kit with my bike. Is this a misprint in the manual or has the dealer taking the took kit out and maybe forgot to put it back in again

It may have fallen out.I'm not sure if this is physically possible but at one time or another most of us have found the "tool kit" rattling around in the fairing. It is held in place by two o-rings that dry out and snap.I would suggest putting together your own kit of decent tools(the originals are a joke),and strapping them in with velcro.

Well there is a rubber o-ring that holds the tool set to the fairing. I caught mine in time, the o-ring broke, the tool kit was loose. I pulled it and I got a new o-ring. I'd call the dealer and ell them you didn't get a tool kit. Don't you have less than 100 miles on the bike?

Ditto! I was able to secure my tool kit with a small bungee cord and it hasn't come loose since. The tool kit is not very good and doesn't even have a pliers or wrenches to fit a lot of the hex head bolts that might come loose, like the ones holding the horn in place.
I would recommend a multi tool like this if you aren't venturing too far from home, but would add a small crescent wrench and pliers.

If you are doing some serious travel then something like this.

Motion Pro also makes some similar kits.

Out!

Hasta la vista
I can confirm seeing the kit when I left the dealership. Soon thereafter it was missing. Either it slipped out, or there are people who go around with dimes seeking Hypers tool kits to sell on the black market. If I had to guess, have Mr. Duct Tape pay a visit.
