Termignoni 2 into 1 racing exhaust question
I am looking at putting this exhaust on my 2008 Hyper and was wondering if my price quote was a fair one. The Tucson, AZ shop quoted just under $3,000 installed. The Scottsdale, AZ shop quoted over $4,000 for the same work. Has anyone paid less than 3K installed? Is it worth it in performance and sound? My stock system is killing me. It dies when I stop at a traffic light if it is above 65 degrees out, plus it sounds like a quiet moped. Any advice from those with experience would be great. Thanks

It is worth it for sure but I don't know about these quotes you got there. I know the prices went up then what they were a year ago but I am sure you can find a full system for less then what you were quoted.
Check with the vendors listed here on the forum, many do offer member discounts as well.
If you don't want to break the bank then go with the slipon, improves the sound and picks up in power as well and leaves some $$$ in your pocket.
There are also many other exhaust systems available, only hang up is that you need and ECU when going for another exhaust.

I think 3K for the full 2-1 kit instaled is a good deal.
The exhaust kit is around 2.5K, and the instalation is about 5 hours. 3K is about right.

performance increase with the termi 2-1 is very good. the addition of the DP race ECU, the airbox lid and the termi 2-1 full system literally transforms the powerband from snatchy on/off throttle response, to a very smooth powerband with more power and torque, that is much easier to ride fast.
as for DB killers, the termi 2-1 system includes a DB killer that can be installed with the included allen head screw.
installation of the kit is pretty easy, and can be handled by anyone with a modicum of wrenching talent, a few hand tools, and some patience to do the install slowly, so everything lines up correctly before you tighten the nuts/bolts to spec.
ciao,
johnc
p.s.: the installation instructions that come with the kit are pretty awful (black and white photocopies of photocopies). if you decide to purchase the termi 2-1 system, i have full color PDF file of the original from the factory, and can email it to you if you require.

Hyper55,
There are a few Termi 2 into1s on ebay for around $1700 brand new. Additionally, have you spoken with Scott (AZScott), Michael or Bill at On Any Moto? They're located on Grant road, just west of I-10. I know they can install it and I'm sure they can get one for you too.
Tell them Dave sent 'ya. It'll get you nothing, but what the h3ll....
Also, check out http://Desmosouthwest.com
I hope to ride with you sometime this summer.
Dave

I just got a 2-1 Termi on fleebay for $1250 shipped. The price difference was too small with the QD or SC-project to pass...
FWIW I paid $1700 for my previous 2-1 Termi. Dealer install was $300 (Dyno Runs were an additianal $50).
So total installed for the previous one was $2050 while this one should be around $1600.
