If I could direct your gaze about three topics down I think the answer you are looking for is there.

I've been looking for a cheap solution since I bought the hyper. I can't justify $500 for rearsets just so I can convert to GP. Especially since I do not have any ground clearance problems. shift-tech just PM'd me and said that they have not gotten any further with a simple gp shift solution yet.

Let me know if you find anything other than the obvious $500 rearset swap. I have switched my track bike back and did miss GP shift last season (all though downshifts are easier now).

I wish woodcraft made the simple fixed height $200 rearsets that use stock pedals that they make for nearly every other bike.

I already saw that one. I don't know the first thing about welding, so I am out of luck. If you can modify some nice looking levers, you might have a small market here.

See, if someone could just manufacture a shift lever with that shape, we'd be all set! Man, I wish I had access to a machine shop. The lever could accommodate both regular and GP shift, and I'm sure it could retail for less than 50 bucks. Even if you don't use GP, it would make for a cheap alternative to the ridiculously priced OEM shift lever.

When I had my little tip-over, I snapped off the toe peg, and of course it's not replaceable. I ended up drilling it and using a Phillips screw for the toe peg...

maybe we need a new thread to see if someone can make what we need.
