Did ducati change the seat foam from the orginal race seats to the curent seat?? The reason I ask is when the hyper was first introduced the race seat was the only option,later the comfort seat was introduced. When I rode our demo bike it was equiped with the race seat at the time the bike was intoduced!! I now own a hypermotard S with the race seat, and while It is much better than the stocker it is a brick compared to the one I road back when the bike first came out!! I dont like the look of the comfort seat, I'd rather have the carbon patern all over but the comfort feels more like the orginal race seat!! Odd?!?! But then again it is Ducati so who knows!!

After reading that I'm not sure what seat you have!

Hope you're enjoying riding your HM in the piney woods of East TX. I grew up (until the HM set me back) not too far from there.

They get dramatically softer the more you sit on them. Maybe thats what is confusing your ass?
