New Victim #3

Hello! I just recently became a victim, myself. Though this was probably the worst time for me to purchase a bike right now (job security, loss of hours, lack of funds and living in Michigan in January), it was probably the best time to buy as well (the economy, dealers looking to move inventory during the winter, etc). Anyway, I am the proud new owner of a 2008 Hyper S. It was a demo model with 1,100 miles on it. The dealer also installed the 2-1 Termi kit on it already. I've been watching prices online for about 6 months and this by far was the best deal I had ran across. Got it out the door, tax-title-license for $11,000!!! Now if spring would just get here....lol!!!

Congrats. It looks awesome. You did the right thing by waiting. I held out until California's rains showed up. Deals are better off season, and you will always have a pic of your HM in the snow for your avatar !

I am seeing a funny trend with cars, and toys in general. Auction prices of classic cars are not as depressed as you would think. Many investors just lost a ton of money, after putting money in the market instead of indulging in toys.
I think "life is short and uncertain" factor is at play here.
How many more victims will we see?

too funny... i'm the #2 victim, and my situation sounds very similar to yours: live in a climate waaaay too cold to even attempt riding in right now, job security is at a minimum (i've been at this company 10 yrs. and have never seen it this bad) loss of hours (i'm hourly, cut down to 32hr weeks) plus, i've got a year old kid to boot!!! the rest of the deal is really similar too, i bought a dealers demo s, termi system, mine was $495 more, 1700 some miles. The rear tire did catch a nail, so it has a brand new pirelli on it. The dealer also spent some time dyno tuning i'm told as opposed to just plugging the "race" ecu in. They also dropped a tooth on the front sprocket. Funny. It's a sickness i guess... man, feels good to be ill! Mine gets delivered on Friday, i'll post pics.

1100 S w/ 1100 miles for 11K. That's just too weird for me! The better news is you're going to feel 11!

Congrats to Victims 1, 2, and 3. You have entered a zone like no other.

Hehehe....thanks gang! I'm looking forward to the craziness of this machine. I have owned/ridden a few naked bikes (FZ1, SV1000, SV650) and supermoto bikes (KTM Duke II, DRZ400SM), but I think this will be the one that blends all of the positives things I liked about each and every one of them into one steed.

Yeah, the weather here isn't the greatest right now. It was -5° F on the way to work this morning.....BRRR!!!! Just about the opposite of your weather, Col. But this will be a good time to figure out my goodies list of mods I want to do (plus I have a little extra time since my hours were cut back to 32 a week like you kyle_01). Just a few simple things, like a hugger, open clutch setup, maybe a DP seat, who knows.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome to the world of the ultimate grin factor!
