Termi headers into...twin cans?

dreaming of the HM 1100S I'll be buying come spring, I'd like to get a performance, louder exhaust setup...but would like to keep the twin underseat cans.

Any ideas? How about the Termi headers into stock cans, cored out? or other generic slip-on cans?

For about $500 you can get the Zard collectors, which replaces the Cat
and the exhaust valve while allowing the oxygen sensor to remain, if you
wish to run the stock ECU. Less than half the cost of the Termi headers.

I'm running this set-up now with stock cans and a Power Commander
and a FatDuc O2 sensor manipulator ($85). The bike has better power
than stock and runs absolutely flawlessly, no stalling issues or flat-spots.

The stock cans have a baffle loop at the very tail end that can be easily
bypassed for more sound. I picked up a spare set of Hyper mufflers on
EBay for only $40 to mess around with. A little time with a hole saw and
a die grinder and they can be free of the last baffle without opening up
the cans at all (all the work is done from outside the tailpipe opening).
I like the appearance of the black dual underseat cans and wasn't that
impressed with the Termi duals as far as what you get for the expense.
They have the carbon fiber on them, but it's just a wrap.

Do a search here and you can see what the Termis look like underneath.

I ran mine without the carbon covers for a little while ... ugh. Gross. However, they are effective.

that's good to know, that the stock cans (which I also like the appearance of) can be given some balls by just drilling in from the outside!
