not so nice weekend to ride
and here i was itching to get out, perfect weekend to ride and i get invites from two separate groups of friends going out today and the hyper is still a week away from being put together.
turns out in both groups someone bailed, the first was my partner in crime and his new R6 riding down in monterey, low-sided coming in a turn hot about 30 mph.
just a few minutes later i get the call that a long time partner on a super sweet buell riding in livermore, on a road typically pristine, fully committed to a turn doing 60, got the wet sandy gravel surprise.
both guys were geared up are ok and were able to limp'em home but the bikes are going to be out for a bit.
so just another reminder to gear up and be careful.

I was surprised that page mill still had so much sand on it! I'm working on a push broom mount for the Hyper so I can sweep and ride at the same time.

Dude,
I moved from Boton to LA. Holy shit, I am in paradise. I flip a coin to fly, ride, boat or sail every weekend. I can do them all but there is always next weekend... 320 days of sunshine a year.
I've never seen a gang banger, never heard a drive by and I felt a 3.4 earthquake and people who lived here 10 years were more excited than i was. That was their first.
Boston and LA are identical cost of living. DC is a bit more, Jerrsey little less, New York about the same, FL a lot less. Hit Monster.com and pack your car and bike...

I was just told by one of my customers that another guy on an R6 wasn't as lucky heading up 84 towards Alice's this same weekend. He didn't make it. Let's live to ride another day.
