Got a 1098 yesterday, any other Hyper owners here with one?
Yesterday I got my 1098, a 2008 with a few hundred miles on it. I put about 150 miles on it, and it's just wickedly fast and the brakes are amazing!
It's funny, the 2v motor in the Hyper seems to pull harder initially, and it definitely sounds better IMO.
Anyone else have a Hyper and 1098? How do you compare them?

Sorry, 999r here. I will say the Hyper is much better on my back and with the 2-1 Termi holds in own in the "noise" department. Honestly, I've been riding my Hyper a lot lately, 999r only once in awhile.

I don't have a 1098, but I want one. My 748 with a Termi 1/2 system seams way louder than my Hyper with Termi slipons. The open clutch cover may help on the 748, you can't help but notice it.
I was wondering though, are the master cylinders on the 1098 the same as the Hyper? I was thinking of getting a used set for the 748. Thanks.

I'm going about it in reverse. I own and race a 1098S, and will be adding a Hyper S to the stable very soon.

I have the little sister, 09 848, as both still stock, the hyper is better on the sound dept, it has a bit more of torque, but the 848 is fast..nothing to compare on that dept, both are fun anyhow ...

I have an 07 1098 & 08 Hyper. I am just finishing the full system for the 1098 but have the Zard full system on the Hyper. IMHO the 1098 has a much deeper exhaust note although they both set off alarms.
Also the Hyper is great in the tight stuff but way different power then the 1098. I have had both on the track and in the hills. I would say 1098 track & Hyper in the hills again it just my thoughts.

bwhip - I might consider trading my HyperS. You'd have to come up here to the Great White North to make the swap though.
