Lambda

Hello,

I'm called Guillaume, have a HM (07/07) [edit].

I have a question to ask you (I sought but not found … ): does there exist a “misleading” lambda's sensor.

I removed the cata and obviously I have the yellow indicator which ignites. How to make for extinguish this indicator without changing ECU??

Thanks a lot.

For information, "passage to the bench"

Moto : 16.000 kms

Configuration 14/12/08: Y (removal of the cata and lambda's sensor) + open Case FAA DP + kN + ECU DP (for the 2 in 2) -->

Configuration 21/12/08: Y (removal of the cata and lamda's sensor) + open Case FAA DP + kN + origin ECU -->

Nb: sorry for my "bad" English…

Salut Guillaume,

I will contact you in French, in meanwhile the situation is as follows.

There are 4 types of ECU for the Hypermotard:

#1 Ducati Stock ECU

#2 DP ??? ECU = with Termi Slip-on = 8% more fuel, no O2 sensor = Ducati Part # 96519308B

#3 DP Evo ECU = with Termi Full system = 8% more fuel, no O2 sensor, no
exhaust valve = Ducati Part # 96518708B

#4 DP Race ECU =with Race Cams = 18% more fuel, no O2 sensor, no exhaust
valve = Ducati Part # 96519208B

I forgot what welcome message is on the dash with ECU #2 when you turn on the ignition, can someone check... thanks.

Anyway, you seem to have the #2, so you do NOT need any O2 sensor / lambada emulator,
(although they do exist, I don't have links).

You have to check the error code that generates the yellow light on your dash, but I bet it is most likely related to the exhaust valve.

The real solution is to change your ECU, most of us with LV slip-on and LV cat eliminator bought the race cam kit to get the ECU #4 (Race ECU).

Christian.

Hey Cassos,

I've got a Hyper 'S' with Zard Top Gun slip-ons & open air box lid, when I fitted a 96519308B it first shows 'EU', then all numbers and lights then scrolls "H-Y-M R-A-C-I-N-G" across the screen. Stock is H-Y-M 1-1-0-0.

My bike ran so rich I lost 20hp, 20kph, and 4km/l, so I removed it, tapped up the air box and added an O2 manipulator instead.

My DP ECU also has another sticker 'SBA9SHA4' ???

You state the 308B I have has no O2 sensor, my bike still has the cat & O2 fitted so I assume the DP ECU does not recognize them? Strangely, the slip-on and full system DP ECU's both increase fuel 8%.
