I considered fabbing my own but the time and material used wasn't worth it.Get the Pitbull single sided reversable and you won't regret it.I think there might be one in the classifieds of this site right now.

The reversable T-Rex Racing stand is excellent and at a very good price.

custom

i happen to have plenty of time and full access to a stocked and outfitted machine/weld shop. i'd would make my own if they were only 20 bucks.

btw i was doing some searching for a friend on www.600rr.net forum and they have a nice sticky section of about 25 common step by step and how-to for the common bike mods plus stuff like build your own bike lift, pit stand and other universal type bike items. maybe this forum can benefit from a sticky sub-forum dedicated to useful documented step by steps.

or maybe its here and i just have yet to see it??

Why not just make a triangle stand that fits into your rear axle, ala dirt bike.

Why not just stand behind the bike and lift it by the rear subframe.

Or, better yet, as your friend to do it for you.

I've seen all sorts of home made stuff, all sorts of professionally fabricated stuff, and everything in between. When you have race teams with their own fabricators buying product from pit bull there is a reason for it...

As for expense, think of it this way - how much is a new seat? Side panel? Nose piece? Hell, how much are just new mirrors? The stands are cheap in comparison to repairs.

there is just something i love about dropping sweet dimes welding aluminum that makes me want people to ask, where did you get this? i mean something as simple as a stand.
i spend money when i NEED to and fabricate when i WANT to.
