Color down under

While I had my bike on the jack adjusting oil level in the forks, I sprang for a powder coat job on the skid plate. A local shop, done overnite, $20. Because of this Carey movie, I had to have a flash o' color when hoisting the front wheel. Then I thought about a lace paint job as done in the 70's, but that won't work for how the powder is applied. But how cool would a red lace skid plate look? I finally figured out how to fasten the plate to the brackets with captured nuts.

What is that skid plate made out of? Do you think the it is strong enough to allow the bike to be lifted with a motocross bike lift stand?

It's the Ducati skid plate:

Aluminum. I had mine powdercoated black but I like this one. The carpet matches the drapes

the dp skid plate is made of aluminum, and imho is not sturdy enough to lift the bike from using a dirt bike lift stand ... as the plate is mounted to the engine case, not the frame, like a mx bike.
