SC Project Exhaust for Hyper

A few months ago someone posted a message about the SC project exhaust for the HM and at the time I didn't jump on it because at the time there weren't a lot of exhaust options out there and even less info on the SC project exhaust... It's now winter here in Boston and I really want to get an exhaust on before spring. I don't see much else coming out and still like the look of the single sided SC project carbon can. To add to that, you can pick it up pretty cheap on ebay and it comes with the carbon fiber side panels. $700 for the slip on with carbon panels doesn't seem to bad in comparison to the other exhausts either.

I know I'll need to pick up an ECU, but already have the lid and filter done on my bike now. It looks as though I'm looking at about $350 (ECU), $700 (SC project exhaust), and $250 (LV cat eliminator) for a grand total of $1100 to get the exhaust on. My question to you is whether anyone has seen/heard this exhaust in person and can provide some feedback. It seemed to drop off quickly after being mentioned on here a few months ago.

Here's a link for those interested.

You should be able to use your stock license plate bracket and relocate the turn signals to straddle the brake light. It might come with that bracket?

Looks good though!

for license plate mounting, you can order the bracket that comes with the termi full system ... it bolts to the sub-frame, and uses the stock plastic license plate pieces.

for turn signals, use the high mount bracket that comes with the termi full system.

both these parts are available to order from your dealer ... just have the dealer look up the termi full system parts doc in lightspeed or whatever they are calling their parts system sw these days.

i seem to remember that the turn signal mount is about $16. no idea on the pricing for the license plate mount.

btw, the sc project system looks pretty cool, and the pricing seems really nice now that they have discounted the MSRP.

a presto,
johnc

It means you don't dig up year-old threads just to reply "Cool!", and you don't respond to those dumb "Ducati.ms News" posts on the front page.

On the SC Project pipes, I like them - of course, they resemble my 2-1 Termi, so there you go. These pipes would also look fantastic on the Streetfighter, IMO...

Cool!

...too soon?

If I could get it past my freakin head that Ducati's should have twin pipes out the back, I would've gotten the Termi 2-1 as I think they look sweet and sound even sweeter! The SC pipe is a great alternative too.

that was originally posted by myself - very happy with the overall performance gain with cams ecu and happy with the fit and finish quality - but i highly recommend the evotech tail tidy to be purchased with this kit as there is nothing like what comes in the termi kit to use the oem plate hanger - even then i had to drill a 10mm bolt hole through the evo tail tidy to fix it to the bracket on the rear subframe.

And perhaps im biased but it sounds better than the termi 2-1
