Termi 2 into 1 question

I have a stock exhaust I want to put back on the Hyper. The base I work on wont let me on with the Termi. I was curious if the race ECU could be used with the stock exhaust system with any advantage.

Any thoughts or interest?

I suppose the answer depends in part on whether you intend to reconnect the exhaust valve. If you reconnect it, then you must reinstall the stock ecu since the 2-1 ecu has no exhaust valve control capabilities.

I seem to recall that some have disconnected the exhaust valve even when running the stock ecu, pipes and cans; however, I don't know why anyone would do this. There may be a legitimate reason, but I don't know what it is. In any case, I suspect the 2-1 ecu would be way rich for the stock cans regardless.

If you change the ECU back to stock, you will need to reset the TPS.

I ran the stock exhaust with an LV cat eliminator and no exhaust valve for months using the 2 -1 DP ECU with good results. You just need to set the trim a bit leaner. Forget the stock ECU, its way too lean.

Doesn't the Termi have an insert to kill a few db? If you need a quieter pipe, trade/sell the Termi for an LV system (has inserts), I run mine with the inserts and its quiet enough riding casual but still barks when you get on it. Dyno numbers are very close to the Termi and it saves a few lbs. over the stock system.
