Cal. smog can! - Ducati.ms

I have looked all over and can't find any info. for removing the unsightly charcoal filter on my hyper. Have seen it done but don't want to screw up.
Can anyone refer me to a sight or thread for procedure.

i was reading about losing gas mileage due to removing the canister, any truth to this? i call bullsh*t, if so it would have to be minute.
