Best ride day of the year

Want to go for a ride with no other vehicles, or police to interrupt procedings.

NEW YEARS DAY ......... EARLY!

Think about it, 90% of the world just got pissed and had a bloody late night.

Think about it, 90% of the police force were on late shift last night, ............. so

Have an early night, wear your ear plugs to bed. Make sure your alarm is loud and go early and go hard.

If you get busted, .................................................. ...... shit happens!

Exactly my plans, but we have a more pro-active highway patrol... they'll be hiding everywhere, so it'll be a nice cruise eitherway...
Hey, you will have a major storm no doubt, like tonight's one, over 90 lightning strikes in one minute, not bad!!!!

We always have some of our best rides on New Years Day. We've got a good one planned this year, and hopefully the weather will cooperate here in Houston. It seems like we usually have great weather for it.

Early Christmas morning is also good (if you don't have kids).

Got to bed at 2am, up at 7, on the bike at 9.

Had a three hour ride over Mount Glorious and back, half dozen cars, 2 dozen bikes and no cops.

It was wheely good fun!

from my own quote earlier: Exactly my plans, but we have a more pro-active highway patrol... they'll be hiding everywhere
I Did get out, nice an early... did around 350 or so KM.... but.... I took the GTR out instead - it's much easier 'not to speed' on that than the HM (refer quote above... )
But.... as it turns out... saw only 1 cop, probably 10 bikes and only around 50/60 cars all day, typical fun route up through Wisemans Ferry, Kulnura, Broke and back down the Putty to the Halfway RoadHouse...
Got fuel and a drink at Kulnura, lucky me... everything else was shut till back in Windsor, so I might have been pushing the Hyper along the Putty Rd in 35C (95F) heat...

Good old summer's back... 30C days from now till next April no doubt !!!
