ecu's for cams
Hi Chaps
do I need a new ecu for cams if I already have the ecu for the single sided race pipe and full system?
Any advice would be welcome before I shell out my rapidly becoming valueless pounds against the mighty euro.

I was under the impression that the Slip-on ECU also disabled the valve. I don't remember seeing the valve as a "selectable" menu option on my VDSTS when I had the slip-on ECU installed.

My slip on ecu disabled the valve and I didn't see it as a selectable feature either. Seems like I've read here that some do an some don't.

The short answer is YES.
Of course, you could probably get the ECU that you currently have to work if you get a PCIII or RapidBike module and dyno tune it.
Of course, if you buy the cams they should come with an ECU so it's a moot point.
